Biodegradable Seed Packaging

These seeds are designed to be used with the Grow Pod Garden. Each package contains six seeds. The seeds are packaged with biodegradable paper pulp and labels. The user simply pushes the seeds into the garden soil and adds water, in a matter of weeks plants will begin to grow. The packaging provides the ideal spacing and plant food to promote growth. Additionally, the package indicates the needs of the lighting needs of the plants, to allow the user to select the correct corresponding lighting setting on the Grow Pod.  Finally, branding was designed to compliment the unique qualities of the paper pulp and herbs. 

During the design process, a series of critical project drivers (CPDs)  for the garden were identified and used to guide the direction of the design.  The CPDs also had an effect on guiding the seed packaging design.
